Frequently Asked Questions

We hope this page helps to answer some of your questions. Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.
When can I start classes?

Most students enroll in classes from September through June. However, registration remains open until March. After March, most classes are heavily working on their dance routines for our year-end Performance, and most costumes have already been ordered. At this time it is best to wait to join our Summer Session. Click here for Registration Form.

What happens if a student misses a class?

Students are welcome to make up missed classes by dropping in to another class of the corresponding level. Options vary depending on the student’s age and abilities. We do not offer refunds for missed classes.

Are classes open for observation?

Parents are welcome to observe classes at any time through our viewing window, as long as it does not disrupt the students or the teacher. Parents and siblings are not allowed on the dance floor. Sometimes it is not in the best interest of the child to have a parent watching class so please keep this in mind if your child seems to be distracted by your presence. Please keep noise to a minimum! No cell phones in the lobby! We want to provide a distraction-free learning environment for our students.

Why is there a dress code?

A dress code helps promote a controlled and productive learning environment. Proper shoes are essential for the safety of your dancer. Click here for Dress Code.

Where do I buy dance apparel and shoes?

For young children we recommend Payless Shoe Source for ballet and tap shoes, and Target for leotards and tights. For older students we recommend Victoria’s Dance Supply (1921 W. San Carlos St.) or Dancer’s Emporium (1916 Camden Ave). Our studio also provides an ordering service for some dance wear and shoes. We have specific items that we prefer and can order for you. Because we contract with a company, prices tend to be lower than regular retail prices.

What are recital costs?

Costumes are generally about $65. Performance tickets are $18-$20. Students are not required to purchase dance photos but are required to attend picture day. Prices for photos vary depending on the package.
